On a meeting with a customer (thank you Bryan) we were surprised to learn on of his favorite features was the ability to have multiple jobs open at the same time. This was a pain point from his previous program.
A customer would call with a question regarding a project.
He would have to close the project he was working on.
Open the project they were calling about
Wait for the job to load
Wait for pages to load
Answer the customer
Reopen the job he was working on
Having multiple jobs open simultaneously allowed him to click between jobs saving minutes per call. We love hearing about these and ideas that save you time.
Another customer comment that was surprising is that the takeoff data in zz is sorted by the order that you took it off in. Other programs apparently don't do this.
Sharing your favorite time saving features helps us protect those features form being 'fixed'. One mans bug is another mans feature. This is not a feature request thread but for every undertated feature you mention feel free to leave a most wanted feature comment.
Another feature that I really appreciate is the ability to copy/paste directly from zz into my excel estimating sheet. I have made a custom report that is an exact mirror of my excel sheet and now I am able to copy/paste the data WITHOUT exporting to excel. Seems like a small thing but its a HUGE time saver.
