Convert Takeoff to item, when still have subitems - Takeoff Tree Reports

I would love to be able to have takeoff to be an item and still behave as an assembly if i also have sub items but it doesn't like to total everything in reports. can this be solved?

Hey Luke, the report behavior is correct. Assemblies will total up the children, whereas items will only display their qty. We did this so there wouldn't be any confusion about whether the qty displayed was the true qty or the qty + child qtys. If you want to total up the children, we recommend using an assembly and moving the takeoff item as a child. I'll forward this to the team to see if it's something we plan on changing in the future (as an option).
