On larger jobs with big foundation plan sheets, pan/zoom gets really laggy whenever the bottom Report panel is open. Close the Report panel and the same sheet is smooth again.
Reproduced in Chrome (also tried a clean profile with no extensions) on a high-end machine (i9, 64GB RAM, RTX 4070 laptop GPU). Not a monitor resolution issue — same sheet at 4K is fine with the Report panel closed.
Looks like the report is recalculating or re-rendering while you're interacting with the plan.
Workaround: keep the Report panel closed while drawing; open it when reviewing quantities.
Happy to send a screen recording if that helps.
Confirmed after resetting GPU/Chrome settings back to normal: lag only happens when the bottom Report panel is open. Same sheet is smooth with it closed.
Hey Sergio, thanks for reporting! We have experienced this as well on larger projects, and are working to improve this as much as possible. The main reason this happens is that when you add/modify sections of a takeoff, it triggers a re-calculation of the takeoff and child items, as well as whatever aggregation you have in the grid, which can be pretty computationally expensive depending on how many things need to recompute.
