Claude / zz / Ediphi

Under Review

I had Claude do a full site takeoff in zzTakeoff (areas, lengths, counts), then open Ediphi and enter it all into my estimate. It worked. It was slow because Ediphi has no MCP yet, but it did the whole job.

The problem: every takeoff has items I measure but don’t want in the estimate, like reference quantities, another estimator’s scope, or temp work. Nothing in the takeoff marks them, so they get sent anyway.

The ask:

  1. One click to mark any item “Do Not Send.”
  2. Show it clearly in the takeoff pane, like the lock or the red/green dot.
  3. Every export respects it: Ediphi, Excel, AI tools, anything.

I can fake it with a sort code, but it should be built in.

Bonus, alternates: let me tag items as an alternate so they stay out of the base estimate but can be sent later as their own group.

Anyone else running into this?

Thanks for the feedback, Kyle! We've discussed internally adding an "Excluded" flag for takeoffs/items in our exports/reports, and we could honor the same flag in the Ediphi integration.

What is the ETA on this integration?

Dave, it works now. You just tell Claude to do it. Kind of like you just say, "Hey Claude, order me Windex from amazon" and Claude will drive your browser. Same concept.

But for the folks that dont have claude, Ediphi and zzTakeoff have been working together the last month. They got some great stuff coming.
