bulk uploading via ftp or something to leave it running overnight

hey, we currently do 10-20 projects each day and upload over 200 files / pages per project making a strain uploading thru the website, is there a easier way you can make it? or an api or a ftp where you drop a folder and it will make the folder be the project name?

its super slow uploading and not supporting multi stream support from what i see it crashes out and some projects dissapear as if they never got uploaded or created
