Comparrison of material product lists

I have three suppliers who supply the same product and i would like to compare the suppliers to see who has the cheapest product.

Hi Martin, I have had a lot of experience with shopping and comparing materials, and with material pricing changing on a day by day basis it becomes even more difficult to manage pricing.

Currently in ZZ there is nothing designed to compare pricing of materials and it is a great FR!

What I have been doing is building my material lists with custom properties with Vendor Class and Material Class as insert columns and populating them in my Excel and CSV lists. This way when I build out my assemblies I can group, sort and filter in reports and create shopping lists for quotes based on vendor class.

If you look at the snip below, you will see I have the Irrigation as my vendor class and then grouped by material class. I send this out to my vendors (no pricing) and when they return the quote I change pricing in the reports tab in zzTakeoff. You will have to decide which vendor to use. You could even have a choose vendor option in zzTakeoff and assign Purchase Orders.

Hope this helps

@Todd,

If I get a material quote of $1,500 for the PVC pipe, can I do a quick over-ride at the 1,198.40 and it backs spreads to the below line items now all totaling to $1,500?

Martin is Requesting a Supplier Price Comparison Plugin: Martin wants to compare equivalent SKUs across multiple product lists (e.g., Drywall from three different vendors).

Looking for a tool that scans these lists and automatically flags the Best Price/Cost for a specific item, streamlining the material allocation process based on real-time competitive pricing.
