Continuation of Takeoffs from One Sheet to Another

Under Review

Currently there is a running list of takeoffs performed on the project. The running list is shown on the right side of the screen. See below.

When I move to the next sheet, I still see the same list of items that were taken off but I haven't done any take off on the new sheet yet (C4.1). We need to be able to continue takeoffs from one sheet to another, but we need to also be able to determine which takeoffs are relevant to the sheet that we are working on.

Example: a list of architectural takeoffs would be cumbersome if they displayed on the right hand side of the civil sheets. Similarly, if i moved to an architectural sheet (like below, A2.2) and had to see all the civil takeoffs, that too would be cumbersome when trying to do relevant takeoff. A running list of unorganized takeoff can be a mess. Can the takeoffs be localized on C4.0 but accessible from C4.1 so that the takeoff could be continued?

If we added takeoff measurements grouped as sub-items under the page on the left would that be best of both worlds? You see totals on the right and sub-totals on the left under each page? We could group by page on the right but that may be redundant when there's a list of pages already on the left. As a side note, we will also be adding a legend on the page as well.

That would work the best. Cen the column on the right side be hidden? If the quantities will appear on the Left (as I agree will be best), I don't really need to always see the quantities on the right. I'd rather have the screen real estate for estimating. :-)

Sure, we will make the sidebars collapsible. We're starting with making them resizable, but collapsible will come next. 🙂

Thanks. That should get it out of the way for now.

Awesome how fast this got developed as I saw the sneak peek. Keep it up!
