Convert to Item Limitations

Hi i am trying to figure out if there's a way i can have a takeoff set as an item, but also have the item i've selected be grouped together based on the product chosen in the reports tab.

I really like being able to make a selection at the takeoff level for the item that drives the bus on the takeoff itself, but there's certain naming conventions i'm stuck with that I only need while doing my takeoff or looking at takeoff tree reports

It would be cool if alt name or something similar could allow for the item to be grouped by the sku or description of the product selected when looking at advanced item reports.
