Count of Units

Planned

Current software has this, and it saves a tremendous amount of time.

If there is a multi-family project or a hotel, all with multiple of the same units, can you "surround" the take-off on the enlarged unit plan, then simply count how many units there are, so everything in the "surround" gets multiplied by the number of counts?

For this example, there is 4 UNIT A1's, so I simply surround the enlarged takeoff, and count 4. Sometimes there are multifamily projects with dozens of similar units, so it saves a lot of time.

Thanks for the input here Alex. We don't have a way to do this yet, but it's in our plans to make some kind of group and allow you to stamp it multiple times as a multiplier.

Yeah, the simplest way to solve this is exactly what he describes: let us draw a window around the takeoff and apply a multiplier to everything inside it.

We honestly don’t use this much anymore because Ediphi handles most of that logic, but when we do need it, it’s usually early-stage conceptual stuff — like a single plan covering floors 7 through 15 where I just want to window it and apply a floor multiplier.

OST had something similar and I used it perhaps 1x per year, so low on my list.
