I really would appreciate if we can create our own community e.g., for employees working from different locations and offices, without using other apps for communication, it would help a ton if we can keep everyone on same platform.
Hey @Aaditya,
A separate community from zzTakeoff? I'm not sure I understand the request or purpose very well?
The part about employees at different locations/offices and other apps for comm's is throwing me for a little bit of a loop
I'm definitely all about the same platform always!
It’s like a group on any social media you create. So lets say I invite a bunch of people to my workspace, I can post a thread and send common messages or any updates that I find from zztakeoff community forum.
The intent would be???
Yes exactly
I'm not sure which of those scenarios fits for you but zzTakeoff has made a great way to reference every topic here with a unique link.
Sometimes I reference those links in my personal Notion app and I wouldn't see it being too hard to do the same - I'm sure a little exhausting to crawl and extract the data that meets your requirements
Do you have a certain layout or hierarchy that you have in your mind you could share as an outline or screenshot from your perspective? Just curious...
So the idea here is like creating private group for people in my workspace to have specific talks. If you’re familiar with microsoft teams, reddit, discord, you’ll understand my concern.
It would probably be nice to have something like this on each project (maybe in that new Plans tab they are adding) for when you are doing collabs with people on the other side of the world and want to alert them to something or ask them a question about their takeoff on a certain page and so forth when you're offline and they're online
@Jes I can dig that! Especially if there were custom flags and either a daily or weekly report that updated anyone that’s involved on the project with items of note while different quantity survey engineers, estimating team, pre-con, field operations, executive management may be going through the plans and can just quickly drop a flag from custom annotations for reference either as an RFI, scope, gap, trade, coordination, issue, etc.. to take that a step further it would be nice to also add a CTA option such as follow up in meeting, claim scope ownership, propose, RFI, identify a risk or strategy, etc. that way the daily weekly reports show items that are categorized and either open or closed with a running log. This is definitely going beyond QTO and estimating and proposals, but… find to think about discuss
