Objective:

Enable users to define or modify symbol shape, measurement type, and related custom properties (e.g., length/width/depth defaults) directly within the Batch Insert Takeoffs interface, streamlining setup and ensuring consistency across multiple takeoff items.

Description:

Currently, when creating takeoffs via Batch Insert Takeoffs, users can select a type (Area, Linear, Segment, Count, Folder) but cannot directly configure symbol shapes, measurement types, or default property values in that same workflow. This forces users to later edit each takeoff individually in the properties/settings panel, which is time-consuming and prone to inconsistencies.

Suggested Enhancements:

• Add the ability to predefine symbol shape and measurement type (e.g., “Count with Length, Width & Depth”) during batch creation.
• Allow entry of default dimensions (Length, Width, Depth) and other attributes (e.g., color, opacity) before inserting.
• Option to save these configurations as templates for repeated use in future batch inserts.
