Download underlying PDF

Completed

Is there a way we can download the underlying pdf that we're working off of? just the plan page or the whole set?

I don't want to sound ignorant here, and it is entirely possible that I don't understand your question, but you have to have the underlying PDF to begin with. Are they not saved in a folder on your machine or on the cloud? If I misunderstood, please clarify.

That being said, use the print to PDF function in zz to get a PDF out. You may have to hide annotations, takeoffs, and the legend, but that function works well.

I'd like to be able to have the underlying (sometimes vector) pdf, not the potentially flattened, marked up one, the one that we loaded and is still saved behind the plan page or the job. unless we can access that in an API?

I’ll add to this use case too:

1) main use case is we will be feeding our estimate data and takeoff data to a historical AI tool. I want to feed this tool the best pdf data possible.

2) when I send my zzlink to trade partners I want them to be able to download the native files so they can take it off with their tools. Low priority tho here as building connected does that well.

Hey Guys! We just deployed an update for this. For now, just press / or hit spacebar 3 times and you will a new option for "Download Original PDF". If there are multiple originals, you will see them in the submenu. We will eventually put this in a more prominent place in the UI, but for now the / menu is where we put new misc. commands.
