Chasstan Prichard Enhanced Bubble/Cloud Annotation Options
Objective:
Improve the functionality and customization of bubble/cloud annotations for faster placement, consistent styling, and better visibility.
Description:
The current bubble/cloud annotation tool allows shape placement and adjustment but is limited in its creation method, default settings, and visual fill options. Enhancements would allow users to create shapes more intuitively, set persistent defaults, and add a colored fill with adjustable opacity for improved legibility on complex backgrounds.
Suggested Enhancements:
- Alternate Placement Methods:
Corner-to-corner parallelogram drag to create a rectangular box quickly.- Click-to-shape option to automatically generate a standard cloud/bubble outline.
- Default Style Settings:
- Ability to set a default color, line width, and bubble size for new annotations.
- Save defaults between sessions for consistent styling.
- Fill Color with Opacity Control:
- Option to apply an interior fill color to the bubble/cloud shape.
- Adjustable opacity percentage (0–100%) to allow underlying drawing elements to remain visible.
Benefits:
- Speeds up markups by reducing repetitive styling adjustments.
- Improves visibility and context on crowded or detailed plans.
- Supports consistent visual standards across team markups.
Have learned after creating this that by dragging a (blank or empty) square anywhere on sheet a context menu will pop up with some options (one of them is cloud. Very powerful insight and tool with a lot of future potential!
