It would be nice that in the future have other website connected inside zzTakeOff, were access is just another tab away.
Having information easily flow through each tab.
IE: Google sheets could have an excel take off just for this project. Even better if items can easily drag and drop into a spreadsheet like screen. Even even better, create custom excel layout into an item properties.
IE: NotebookLM AI to create scans of the plans to help gather key terms or sheet pretraining to what you are looking for. Or someone to talk with about the project if you have no friends.
IE: ediphi, to help with a pricing, save historical information, or line items breakdowns.
This would be great! Thanks for posting the feedback here. One important thing for us to embed external websites, is that the external website must allow us to embed using an <iframe> tag in the HTML. Many apps disable embedding for security reasons. I just checked, and Google Sheets does allow embedding a specific sheet, but not the whole Google Drive. I just tried embedding Ediphi also, and it blocks. We can use APIs to link our apps together, though, and use 2 separate browser tabs. It would sure be convenient to link the 2 though. Kyle previously mentioned adding a button on the toolbar to link to the specific project in Ediphi which would be a great quick work-around for now.
API would be better and have an adjustable layout to have user to custom build their own style.
or you can have something similar to Google Sheets, but just a bunch of fields/items that can be moved. (Even similar to Planswifts item formulas that call from other items)
At least for AI, it is mainly a push / pull of data.
Maybe emulate something similar to QuickBooks Enterprise layout designer, where you can drag fields around. (Also like Wix.com web editor)
Similar to how you created the item list, you can create a field list. Drag the field list item onto a template or blank sheet. (I am using "Field" very loosely here, since it can be in many forms)
Similar to how Planswift's report can call a group of item or tags and make it list on the report.
or just as a basic input field, like in a adobe forms. or an text field with a formula that can pull from another field.
Just think of if you break excel spreadsheet cells into movable fields.
I haven't work much with API integration, but maybe a developer tab or an API field list or option properties when API is detected. (Of course an "Advance" option should be checkbox, so some of us lower level guy's don't see it all the time)
