Highlight linked with Measure Tool

Highlight, afterward shows as an item, when trying to change the highlight properties

Spoke with Darin, seems like this is a known issue, when clicking "highlighter" while still on an measuring tool.

This would be a cool feature as well. Since it also links with the hide button.

If this could be a selectable option,

and have it the same color as the item, so when marking a scope section it, it would show as a second form of legend

Thanks for sharing this great feature request! You've identified a really useful workflow improvement that would help with organization and visual clarity.

I can see how having the highlighter tool automatically link with measurement tools would streamline the takeoff process, especially when you want to visually mark what you've measured while keeping everything color-coordinated. The ability to make this a selectable option (as you mentioned with the right-click menu). If a Takeoff is on Multiple pages do you want it to link pback to the Note?🎨

The highlight area should be on the multiple page. But thinking about a multi page note sounds pretty cool too.

This might be hard to follow, but how about this. A note that pulls the text that it covered.

Also, a linkable note, and/or something similar to a hover popup (I think CSS calls it a hovercard) (Trying to keep the overall visual to a minimum till it is needed)
