How hard would it be to give us the ability to bind hotkeys to turn pdf snap, snap, and ortho on and off? I find myself turning them on and off quite frequently depending on the project type that I am working on.
Sunday, I figured out that if you are holding shift down, you can snap to other takeoff points (green square snap) even when snap is set to off.
Kind of on the same topic. Can we get some options for how snapping behaves? For example, have snapping to existing takeoffs that are very close to my point take precedence over snapping to pdf snaps. Its not a big deal but when i have PDF snapping on and i do two takeoffs next to each other I find that when zooming in close the two arent touching but are just a touch apart. This almost always is because it snaps to pdf first rather than the existing takeoff.
In the long run we will have customizable hotkeys. Any suggestions for what the default hotkeys should be for these in the meantime?
I personally don't have a preference for what keys are used. Whatever keys end up being used i will just be binding them to the extra buttons on my mouse. As for making pdf snapping and snapping to existing takeoffs you could probably just make the buttons at the bottom of the screen drag and droppable in the order you want them to work. For me personally i would probably always have snapping to other takeoffs take precedence over pdf snapping.
Same, I don't have any preferences other than what they are. Being able to customize them would be great though and allow each user to adjust to fit their workflow best.
We have added hotkeys locally in our development version. They will come out in the next major release.
ALT + S - Toggle Snap to Points
ALT + P - Toggle PDF Snap
ALT + W - Toggle Ortho
ALT + A - Toggle Auto Scroll
that will work great. I use logitech peripherals so can bind pretty much anything i want to my mouse and keyboard hotkeys
