Imported Item Properties adjustments

I noticed when importing a project and continuing a takeoff, the properties of the items that I imported, I'm not able to modify. If the customer sends a project with a partial takeoff, or items they want included in their scope, these items will have to be re-taken off to allow for the properties/materials & labor to be modified.

Are you importing a Bluebeam or Planswift Project? OR is this zzTakeoff to zzTakeoff?

Appreciate you sharing that. Importing a PlanSwift project is actually a pretty wild capability when you think about it, you’re talking about taking a closed, legacy desktop format and translating it into a live web-based environment with editable data structures.

Honestly, very few tools can even attempt that kind of import. You can’t drop a SketchUp file into Revit or an OST file into Excel and expect the content to function natively. The fact that ZZTakeoff can bring in a PlanSwift project at all is already impressive.

Personally, I’d rather see the team keep focusing their energy on modern workflows instead of spending time maintaining backward compatibility with old desktop tools, that’s just my two cents.
