is text mode even necessary? text with tags with no tags performs the same no?
I think Text mode could be nixed completely, and default for everyone could be text with tags. Unless I'm missing something, this wouldn't cause any issues. I think those that aren't utilising tags won't notice.
Also it seems to me that any property that is just a number field could also be in formula mode by default as it still works perfectly if it's just a number.

Hi Luke! We thought about that but, if anyone has brackets in the name and doesn't want them to auto replace with other properties they would not have a way to do that. If nobody wants brackets in their takeoff or item names we could merge these like you mention.

I like the text with tags, but wish it could extend the tags. Like being able to round with the tag. I know it can be done with formula, but its way more of a hassle.
Or maybe get a HTML tag feature with [something] ... [/something]
