Zac Woods Legend Functionality
Hi Team,
Wondering if we could look into having the ability to make adjustments to the legend. Just the ability turn off & on showing the quantities with the legend.
For when I would like to provide markups for the team or client and they don't need to see quantities related, just name & colour.
This alongside multiple page printing mentioned by someone recently.

You're requesting the ability to hide the quantities on the legend right? You can use notes now but I like the idea of customizing the legend with other quantities like cubic yards or wall area etc. Would labeling the takeoff areas, displaying the name over the takeoff in a note work or do you like the legend look?
I keep thinking it would be nice to see the materials on the legend or expandable on the legend.

Yeah exactly, we're quite used to using the legend look. Heres an example from an old planswift job from a plasterboard (drywall) perspective but we take this approach with all our trades.
So my takeoff would be something like this: Board Type/Height/Colour
But my team on-site don't need me repeating different wall heights to them so I would then do a dummy markup only measure where quantities don't matter. I just want one line item per colour so I can achieve a markup like so:
So a thought towards skipping the dummy measure step the ability to create a custom legend. Just typing name and pick a colour.
This all can come in handy with clients time to time, where we want to compare measures or value engineering etc and they want a quick visual of allowances but like before don't need the multiple lines of different wall heights
Great feedback and input. We will add a "Hide quantities" option for now on the legend. Should be pretty easy to do. We'll add more customization also as we move forward.
