List items, calculate that item by the way it was digitized

It would be nice if we could have one item that could be counted differently by the way it was digitized. Some times we need to COUNT how many boards of a set length , and other times we need boards of a set length in LF (divided by the board length and rounded up).

Some times a plywood is on the wall LF/4 rounded up (because plywood is 4' wide and the walls are measure in LF, but we are looking for EA) .... some times the same plywood is on the roof SQFT/32 rounded up .....

I suppose we could get surface area of the wall and use SQFT all the time but that is not how we think because it doesn't always allow for waist the same.
