Please improve the selection of multiple takeoff items by being able to select the takeoff by clicking and dragging over just a portion of the takeoff items rather than having to click and drag over the entire thing.
Hi Tim,
Thanks for the great suggestion! 🎯 I can definitely see how this would make selecting multiple takeoff objects much more efficient and user-friendly.
Your request has been forwarded to our development team for review. Making the selection process more intuitive by allowing partial selection with click-and-drag is a valuable improvement that would save time during takeoffs.
Have you tried the current multi-select functionality with Ctrl+Shift+click? While not as smooth as your suggestion, it might help in the meantime! 😊
One potential solution could be implementing a window selection feature where dragging from bottom-left to top-right would select any takeoffs that the selection window crosses, even if it doesn't completely cover them. This "crossing selection" method is commonly used in CAD software and could be perfect for your workflow! 📐
Thanks for helping us make zzTakeoff even better! 🚀
Hi Sam,
I was just going to post Tim's request too, but your comment is exactly what I was looking for.
I would suggest to change it to Ctrl Click to multi-select instead Ctrl + Shift Click, it would be faster and is more used.
Also, this shortcut isn't on the Hotkey list, thus the reason I would of suggested.
