Option for pages to inherit pdf file name, and rename multiple pages at once

When uploading a folder that contains multiple pdfs, I’d like the option for each page to inherit the original pdf file name (with page numbering) instead of only being named “Page 1, Page 2”.

For example, if I upload a folder containing:

Combined Drawings.pdf

Site Details.pdf

I’d like the resulting pages to be named something like:

Combined Drawings – Page 1

Combined Drawings – Page 2

Site Details – Page 1, etc.

I know autonaming is an option, but that works best for files that are already organized. For me, reviewing all the pages together inside the takeoff software is often easier than opening many separate pdfs first. In those cases I need to see the names of the original pdfs.

I also noticed that it’s not possible to select multiple pages and rename them at once. Even if the AI function had a way to set the page name as one title, but find the page numbers that would be helpful.

Hey Nicole! Currently, when you upload a file, we check for the PDF page name, then fall back on Page 1 - Page X. Do you want an option override the page name to "PDF name + page number" always, or just when the PDF page name doesn't exist?

Regarding "it’s not possible to select multiple pages and rename them at once." You can smart select the page name/sheet #, and use AI to batch rename specific sheets. Is that what you're after, or are you trying to rename a bunch of pages to the same name, etc?

I rarely seem to encounter pdfs with the pages individually named, so I would prefer it override to "PDF name + page number".

And by renaming multiple at once, I mean naming multiple pages with the same manually typed name.

there have been a few scenarios where I have renamed files with four digits or leading zero in the thousand place.

There’s also been some situations where I’ve had to bracket out building or funding source within the drawing or sheet title and number
