Option to turn off versioning

I want to start with the updated versioning is great and we love the way that it works 90% of the time. There is another 10% though that we would like to turn it off.

An example of that 10% would be, we bid concrete and masonry in production neighborhoods. That neighborhood may have 10 different plans with 5 different elevations per plan, 3 different foundation options, and several other footprint altering options. We import all plans into one neighborhood bid. As that neighborhood progresses, they sometimes add new offered house plans that we import into that same neighborhood bid. When we import the new offerings, zz is pairing them with other plans that are similarly named but not the same plan. We would like the option to turn the versioning off in these situations.
