One of the features I'd like to use is the printing of a takeoff to PDF feature. Clients still want paper based as-builts on site, so it is helpful to be able to print my takeoffs on the appropriate sized sheets. The save as pdf default option is limited in sheet sizes to ISO standards, most of my sheets are ARCH and sometimes ANSI sizes. Changing the pdf printer to either the microsoft print to pdf or bluebeam pdf print give me more paper sizes, however even with that nothing scales correctly. Normally when printing to ARCH D (36x24) for example, you'd turn off all page scaling to print it at its native size and it would not throw off the drawing scale (1/2" = 1', etc). Nothing I do in any setting makes PDF printing out of zztakeoff come out the correct scale. The ability to print to ARCH and ANSI sizes, while just saying no page scaling would be very helpful. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing?
Hi Matthew!
We were actually talking about this internally a few days ago. :)
This is a feature request that is on the radar of the development team.
I will pass along the additional info in your request here.
Thank you!
Hey Matthew, Just wanted to give you an update on this. The development team has released an update that addresses this issue. The software is no longer adding a margin. So as long as you print to PDF with the same page size as the original and with the margin turned off in the printer settings, the scale should be correct.
In this example, the original PDF page size was "Tabloid"
I printed this one to PDF and then re-imported to verify that the scale matches up.
