Is there a way that somebody knows how to do the trenching with linear or segment that each segment could have a start and stop rim and FL so we don't have to do a new takeoff for every lentgh of pipe and still have it calculate the trench volume if i could collaborate and share ideas to see if we could come up with a work around.
Some of the depths are deeper in the middle of the run so we cant just use a simple slope

Thus far, I have only seen how to do it by running a new segment for each pipe. I need to set up a report that will kick the info into my spreadsheet, which ultimately runs the calcs. It is clunky for sure, but it works.
On the segment though if I am understanding correctly you still have to start a new takeoff to get the starting elv and ending elv
That is how I see it as well, but again, clunky..... We had a solution in PS, but it was just as clunky. AGTEK and TBC offer a solution, but I want all of my 2D takeoff in one place, so I don't use those tools for this.
I figure each section separately as well. Clunky but accurate. I too have a report set up and then copy/ paste to my excel spreadsheet for now.

Great feature request. I have notified the dev team, and moved this convo under Feature Requests.
