SCALE: Separate Horizontal & Vertical

Hi, thanks for the feature request. I have shared with the dev team, please describe how you would want the feature to work so the community can chime in too!

You can set them separately. That blue line is 20' long. If I rotate it 90 degrees, it then says it's 40' long.

These types of drawings are common for underground piping.

Seems like adding an 'X-Scale' and 'Y-Scale' to the Custom Scale option in the dropdown would be fairly painless. Ability to toggle on/off the 'Separate Y-Scale' would be ideal.

Hi - cant this be done? Similar to the other comments, I have a pipeline takeoff wherein I would like to determine the area of excavation required. The horizontal and vertical scales are different however

Okay, I see that you can Manually Scale the page with XY scales. But you have to scale it twice (as far as I know). Imagine a set of pipe drawings that's a couple hundred pages long and you have to scale each page twice. Not exactly user friendly.

We also need the ability to scale page regions separately. In the example below, the page is scaled at 1"=20' (XY), (see top left); and the alignment section is scaled at 1"=20' (X) and 1"=2' (Y), (see bottom center). Not sure if the AI is able to auto-detect these types of applications right now, but hopefully soon.

Ability to scale regions would be useful both for sheets like this, and for section/detail sheets as well. I know there are work-arounds by cropping to a new sheet etc. but that is cumbersome for those of us who deal with large plan sets and short turn-around times.

I've seen a couple other requests for this feature and if we're in the minority, fine. I'll deal with it. But it sure would make our life easier.

We really need to be able to scale regions of the page separately! I'm running into this a lot lately. If I scale horizonal and vertical for the section view, the plan view is wrong. If I scale for the plan, the section view is wrong. I have hundreds of sheets like this.

Are there any plans to move forward with this feature?
