Chris Keeler Show Active Users + Weekly Usage on the License Page
We manage a limited number of Pro Takeoff licenses and often need to reassign them between users (Pro to Not Assigned). Right now, it’s hard to tell who is actively using Takeoff at the moment we’re making changes, and we want to avoid interrupting someone—especially field staff reviewing plans.
Could you add visibility directly on the Users/Licenses page.
What would help most:
- Active now indicator (ex: green dot) on each user row
- Last seen / last activity timestamp
- A warning/confirmation if we try to remove/reassign a license from someone currently active
- Usage this week (hours) per user, so we can allocate Pro licenses to those who actually use them
This would help us manage licenses without disrupting active work and reduce admin time.

I know licensing gets complex, but so does how preconstruction teams actually use these tools. Have you explored usage-based models versus strictly named licenses?
With web-based platforms already tracking activity, it seems like there’s an opportunity to give customers better visibility into real usage while aligning licensing more closely to how teams rotate in and out during a project.
We’re seeing that kind of transparency in other tools and would love to understand if something similar is on your roadmap.
