Single Click measuring for vector lines

Under Review

Hi Team,

CostX has a mouse function that you hover the mouse near the line (Line Mode) and then with 1 click it measures the whole line, very fast and useful.

Is that possible for ZZ?

See Youtube video explaining - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK18ZTuiqSM&list=PLSbz1plfSFMCAlw_-RI16eQVYmvAkghAv&index=4

Hi, that looks like a great feature if you have high quality pdfs that include the lines in the metadata (not all pdfs). It looks like they support that only on CAD and PDF files only. Have you tested this on image files? We store png images of the photos and thats whats rendered in the browser. We do store the pdf metadata, but I'm curious how detailed the pdf would need to be for this to work.

My understanding is limited to what they explain in the video. However I think most vectored PDF that originate from a decent design software would suffice. JPEG and other flat image's aren't compatible as per her first demo. They use 3 takeoff methods. Click and point (standard) then Line mode, as requested, and auto count... They also utilise layers really well to isolate element's.

I know ZZ flatten to an extent to optimize speed and manoeuvrability. But it could be worth investing if users can do less click's

I meant investigating the above

Thanks Thomas, I moved this thread to feature requests and shared with the dev team!
