Alex Castro-Frias Solo vs Team View
I’d like to request an option to toggle between a Solo view and a Team view when multiple users are working in the same project. Currently, if I hide or turn off certain takeoffs, those changes affect everyone on the project. Having the ability to choose between a shared (Team) view or a personal (Solo) view would let each user manage their own display without disrupting others.

You’re absolutely right, this is the new challenge when multiple people are in the same project. Tools like OST, and PlanSwift had it easy when everyone was siloed, but collaboration changes the game.
Two of the biggest hurdles I’ve run into after 10 months on zzTO are:
- How do we manage multiple people working in the same "takeoff project" at once?
- How do we keep the next drawing set organized without disrupting the team?
What’s worked for me so far is leaning on layers. They’re great for a Solo view, everyone can keep their own workflow — though the downside is you can’t blend them together in Team view. For new drawing sets, I’ve also had success combining layers with folders for the PDFs.
These are really just “hacked” workarounds. The exciting part is knowing zzTO is pushing toward a better, cleaner path forward — one that makes collaboration feel as natural as working solo. That’s the future we all need and keeps me up at night :)
