Gillian Wolpert Some sort of pen tool?
I'm just realizing on a drawing I'm working in how useful a scale bar would be and realizing by extension there's now real way to enter graphic input onto a drawing if I need to make a little sketch or check mark a page as done.
I'm not sure how often this would come up (aside from marking completed pages), so I'm curious if other users would find such a tool useful.

Good input. We could build a pen tool. It's basically the same as our freehand highlighter with different line width & opacity (freehand highlighter is hidden currently in favor of the box highlighter, but we will bring it back). We will also have a "stamp" tool with a big database of images to stamp on the page as well which could work for checking off pages, too. When you mention checking a page as done, that would be nifty. We could add the ability to right click on the page and "Mark as Complete" or something and have it show a different icon in the pages list on the left (with a checkmark in the icon or something).
Sounds rad! Will I even recognize ZZ with the next release? If y'all do a webinar to introduce all the new tools I'll be there and bring my team!
Haha. Sure, we'll do a webinar, and a post with a bunch of screenshots and GIFs to illustrate the new features. We're very excited about it. We generally don't like to go this long without an update, but there were a lot of underlying changes for the items & assemblies. We will do our best to get back to more incremental regular updates after this.
Truth is: it looks very similar on the surface to the previous version, but a lot of added functionality under the hood 🙂. We work hard to make it as easy as possible. There are a ton of misc little improvements everywhere that you'll notice in the new version.
