The Missing Link in Preconstruction

ZZ Takeoff Team, this one matters.

After using eTakeoff for a year, I was never fully confident which quantities were actually flowing into the estimate. The control may exist inside an item, but that is not enough the estimator needs to see it directly on the takeoff list.

A visible linking system could work universally across Excel, Google Sheets, BidBow, Sage, Ediphi, or whatever estimating platform a client uses.

Templates could even come preconfigured.

No other takeoff tool does this well. As zzTakeoff expands integrations, this could become a true industry differentiator. Only turn on if workspace needs it, so it’s a company setting.

Here’s a rough mock-up, not the final answer, but the idea is powerful.

edit: perhaps two symbols, one is the link as shown that appears after it gets sent.

Second symbol, Perhaps an export symbol to indicate it will be sent when the “handshake” button is hit.

Point is two symbols would benefit this as change tracking refreshable quantities are new to 98% of estimators. Bye bye copy paste 🎉
