Beam tool edit to use for steel beams?

I was working through a structural steel takeoff and started messing around with the Beam tool a little to see if there was a way that I could use that to calculate my beam tonnages. I don't have, or need, a full list of every steel shape and dimension in existence, so a simple manual entry of the member depth and weight is perfectly fine. The way I envision it, you could substitute the Beam Tool's Material Size and Material Type entries as Member Depth and LB/Ft (or something like that) and have it spit out the weight in pounds (would be helpful on smaller quantities). Has anyone figured out something similar to this already?
