When uploading a project I find the print to be grainy, how do I ensure a clean import?

Hi Juan, I read your questions and was hoping to have a quick meeting with Zoom to see how the image looks before and after importing into ZZ

Is that okay?

Hi Juan, Usually when this happens, it's because the original PDF file got exported by the architect as 8.5x11 pages instead of the actual plan size.

The dev team has told us that they plan to add the ability to adjust the imported image resolution in a future update.

As a work around for now, you can open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat (or a similar app) and print it to a PDF as a larger page size (ArchE or similar). This will resize the pages, and they will import with better resolution into zzTakeoff. It's very important that you set the scale with a known dimension if you do this - since the pages have been re-sized and are no longer to scale (they likely weren't to scale anyway if the architect exported them as 8.5x11)

When plans are loaded into zzTakeoff, they are converted to PNG files because they run much faster in the browser. I'm sure we'll make improvements to the importing options. But I hope this helps you in the mean time.
