Copy Paste items in reports

Hi Team,

Is it just me, or we can't copy and paste items in the reports tab?

For example, i wanted to copy and paste/ duplicate Delivery into strip footings.

It seems i can Copy, but not paste? or am i missing something obvious?

I dont think anyone can at this stage.

Okay thanks,

A few report function suggestions that would take it to the next level:

Navigation

  • Ability to click through from a report item directly to the takeoff element — massive time saver for QA and client queries

Excel Export

  • Option to suppress sub-totals on export — currently creates chaos for downstream calculations and pivot tables
  • Clean flat data export option would be ideal

Copy / Paste

  • Ability to copy report rows or repeat previous entries — same as above for takeoff items

Report Design

  • Custom branding — logo, colours, fonts
  • Layout control for client-facing deliverables
  • This alone would make ZZ submission-ready without needing a secondary formatting step

Filtering

  • Filter by item name within reports for quick identification — essential on large jobs

Measurement 1 vs Qty

  • Would love clarification on this — the distinction isn't immediately obvious and I suspect I'm not alone

Hey Thomas, yeah, right now the copy/paste behavior is copying & pasting the text from the report, not the takeoffs/items. This is something we are looking into.

Navigation

Depending on the report and what you are grouping by, you can right-click on the row to go to the properties of that takeoff. We are planning to improve this for the Advanced Item Reports soon.

Excel Export

We are also planning to add additional customization for the aggregation in the reports soon.|

Report Design

We are planning to introduce a report designer that will allow you to use your custom branding and more.

Filtering

Filtering is currently possible if you select the 3-dot menu for the column header and use the column filter.

Measurement 1 vs Qty

Measurements 1-3 are the "display" values, whereas Qty is driven from the formula and is mainly used for item reports to calculate your cost/price/markup. You can actually use "qty" in measurement 1-3 if you have a takeoff/item combo.
