Copy takeoff

I would like to copy and item and paste it into another folder, but keep the quantity. When I do it now...the quantity goes to zero, and I have to redo takeoff. Is there a way to do this?

Have you tried using the "Duplicate As" tool instead of "Copy"?

Right click the takeoff you want to copy and select the "Duplicate As" option. Choose the takeoff type and away you go!

Hi! Items exist under a Takeoff, this and that is where the Qty lives, on the Takeoff. Items access this property in a formula like [../Qty] * [Price Each] . If you duplicate the Takeoff (as Shane mentioned) then you will be able to have them in another folder. Is there something other than this that you needed?
