Hi
I am looking for the right way to takeoff glass for borrowed lights from a borrowed light schedule. I can create a rectangular count item that is scaled to an elevation, but when I use the item on the schedule, the count symbol is too large. Is there way to record area measurement in a count tool without the tool being the same size as the area measurement?
Hi Greg! Thanks for the feedback. We were wondering if users would want this. Thanks for confirming. We will come up with a setting or checkbox you can check to make it stay smaller.
Yes a toggle to choose whether you want the count takeoff object to visually match the dimensions or use the default smaller format would be helpful. In the interim I'm just hiding them like I normally do when I'm done with my count takeoffs
Just realized you can change the opacity and make them nearly invisible. That'll work for me
Suppose you have a 4'x4' Square point count, but you wanted it to display visually smaller on the page. How would you expect to define the smaller point count? Do you want it to be a % (like show at 25% of 4'x4'), or would you expect to enter another set of dimensions for the size you want it to display? There are a few ways we could go about this, so we're just gathering a little more input before we make the change.
There could be two options:
"Display Count Symbol", which would be the current symbol that grows progressively larger or smaller as you zoom,
and,
"Display Count Area" that shows the count item scaled to the page scale.
