Q & AGhost Custom properties after deletion of custom property.
Hi All,
We created a set of custom properties and then decided we didn't need them. When we deleted the custom property it was still showing up on the existing templates. Is there a way to have them removed from all templates?
I had something like that happen and it went away when I refreshed the browser.
I'll mention this to the team to see if we can come up with some methods to batch remove properties. Right now, this behavior is intentional because if a user accidentally deletes a property, we don't want it screwing up old projects that calculate based on that custom property. The custom property value persists in the 'Additional' group until you clear the values out, and, in that case, the custom property will disappear from that takeoff/template.
Not sure what you mean by clearing out?
Just tested and it worked. Not sure why it didn't work before when I deleted them out.
