Items from templates to my list

Hi Marc, Happy Labor Day weekend to you, there should be no issue with the copy and paste, but you do need to have a project open in both workspaces to copy and then paste. Let me know if that works please, otherwise I can send over an invite to a zoom mtg

Copy and paste works for me. I But I would love to have the following.

1. template panel on the report sheet and drag items in.
2. a way to drag templates on the take off tab.

I love that idea and it would make a great feature request, that I do not think I have seen yet.

You should put that in there, I would be it would get a lot of attention and upvotes!

Thank you for helping me on labor day weekend, I didnt expect to get anyone to answer. This is how I relax by doing takeoffs....

My wife says my communication skills are lacking, I haver created a template with claude, it created a beautiful template for me, I would like to pull the items out of the template and place it in my "list" for future templates.. the item from the template will not paste after I copy from template assembly

Hey Marc! Right now, we don't allow pasting Item Templates into Lists (only pasting between lists is supported). I'll mention this to the team.

As a side note - if you created the items with Claude using the MCP, you can have it re-create the items in your list. Note: lists do not support child items, which is one of the reasons why pasting Item Templates into Lists is disabled.
