Lag When Zooming In on Drawings

Hi everyone,

Has anyone else noticed that when zooming in on drawings, it gets laggy and takes a few seconds to become clear?

For the last few weeks, whenever I zoom in, the drawing becomes blurry or takes a few seconds to load clearly. It didn’t used to do this before, and I’m using the same computer as always.

Is anyone else having the same issue, or is there a setting I should check?

Hi Gio,

The first setting to check is Hi-Res, at the bottom of the drawing. It improves clarity, but can slow zooming on detailed sheets.

• Temporarily switch Hi-Res off and test zooming. This checks performance, not image quality; turn it back on when you need sharper detail.

• Try the latest Chrome with heavy browser tabs closed.

• Before refreshing zzTakeoff, finish your active tool, save any open property/report changes, and wait for the saved indicator.

If the delay continues, contact zzTakeoff support with your browser/device details, the affected project/page, and a short screen recording. Mention whether it happens on every drawing or only certain sheets, and that it started a few weeks ago.
