Q & AOrganize custom reports by usage and by the order displayed at the takeoff/assembly level
Hello,
As I am building reports, I wanted to see if I am doing it correctly or maybe something to look into, but I try to do a custom report where after the takeoff, my estimate is to be organized by usage (aka phase codes in my case) from there it is organized by cost type. I was wondering if we would have the freedom to organize how we wish or maybe add another option to choose where after usage we can organize by labor, material, equipment, sub. If not I can get with what we have it will just take adjusting to. I did notice you can click cost type and it does have rotate, but I can never get it to land on Labor, first.
Hey Fernando, I believe the cost types are always in the following order for reports that group by cost type (unless you reverse the sort):
Material
Labor
Equipment
Subcontract
Other
There is no way to change this order yet, but it could probably be a configuration setting in the reports - good feature request.
yea hopefully we can have that freedom to organize that report how we please, also what about in order by usage in the takeoff level?
If you group by usage and sort by usage, it will sort alphabetically. If you are not sorting by anything, it should be sorted in the same order as the takeoff sidebar order.
