Pricing a takeoff
I do engineers estimates. Is it possible to price a takeoff. For example, I do a takeoff for footings and come up with a cubic yard quantity. I can't put a unit price to that quantity. I have to make it an item first. Is there a work around? I did some custom properties called Price, and Total, but can't get the formula to work. Also, there is no sum by folder with that approach. I am exporting the quantities to excel at the moment and doing the pricing there, but would like a way to do all the work in ZZ.

You have to add an item to the takeoff then if you add groups of takeoffs to a folder you get the folder total in reports, this can then be exported to excel
