Q & AProperties - Description
Hey Team,
how do i get 'Description' into the takeoff item?
When i extract the Schedule, i want to split the Name into Name > Description.
I click the + button to add properties, but Description isn't available?
I've also tried making a new takeoff item because, I thought it my be an extraction issue, but i can't figure that one out either.
Description is already a column property, so I don't think adding it as a custom property is required
And on the topic of Schedule Extraction.
it would be amazing if it could read tables and map to custom properties.
For example if the left column was set up as custom properties, the right column would auto fill the properties (Which would match the project schedules, making easier cross referencing)
Hey Thomas! Currently, the "Description" property only shows up if you have a takeoff/item combination. If you don't want to switch to the Item combination, you can always add a custom property to utilize as your takeoff description.
Regarding the schedule extraction, we are planning some updates in that area soon to allow further customization of how the schedule is extracted, etc.
