Using two measurements in one formula

In Progress

How do I build a formula using two different measurements?

What two measurements are you using?

For example, I take two different area measurements for roofing with different pitches. I want to add them with a formula.

For that, I'm assuming you would have a couple different takeoffs like area of 12:12 roof and area of 8:12 roof. Each one would have the same takeoff items like sheathing, tar paper, and shingles. Each of those takeoff items would be driven by the area of the sloped roof and then totaled in the reports.

Yes, but I was hoping to do that in an item template

Thanks for the input here. The upcoming release can handle multiple different takeoffs in the same formula. It will allow takeoffs that have a child takeoff.

Examples:

Parent: [../Point Count]

Grandparent: [../../Point Count]

Sibling: [./Some Count Takeoff/Point Count]

Thank you very much

Really enjoying this new feature, still playing around with all the changes. But now i can measure the eave lines on the roof plan then add all my individual flashings to it from the details.
