We just deployed our latest to our DEV server. š
For those involved in testing early features, please test and let us know what you think. We want to finalize testing and release this as soon as possible.
In addition to the items on our previous post, here are some additional features:
- Templates, Items, & Assemblies
- Items now can handle "Variables" in the formulas, and can calculate Qty for materials & labor
- Built in "Waste %" and "Round Up to Nearest" in formula calculation
- Variables can be linked to global "Custom Properties" as a dropdown with specific options (On Center Spacing, # of Wall Sides, etc.)
- Import templates from OST (basic import currently...verify for accuracy)
- Import templates from PlanSwift (basic import currently and does not import parts, only takeoff templates for now...verify for accuracy)
- Custom Properties
- Ability to add "Property Group" for Custom Properties to group when they display on the form
- Ability to build custom properties as dropdowns with "Code & Name" or "Value & Name". Example "01 - General Requirements". "01" is the code, and "General Requirements" is the name.
- Reports
- You can now generate "Quantity Reports" for material quantities as well as "Measurement Reports" for all the geometry, dimensions, etc.
- Ability to group by "Custom Properties" in reports for (Division, Phase, etc.)
- We added a bunch of "Default Reports" for you to start from and customize
- Overall a lot more useful out of the box than before
- Ability to specify "Default Expand To" level on reports (expand to "Takeoff" or expand to "Folder", etc.)
- Takeoff
- Ability to hide at the folder level
- Hip/Valley Linear and Segment takeoff measurement types
- Pages / Image
- Ability to use AI to batch scale all pages (if scale is in same spot on all pages)
- Additional Prev/Next page buttons on the page (lower left on image) and Zoom tools (lower right on image).
- Permissions
- Ability to share a project with specific users without sharing the whole workspace
- Ability to share a project so that "Anyone with link can view"
Sweet! Can you make a 10min video to go over this? Iād soak it up way more and then try it while watching if I had a video.
Good idea. I will need to clean up my workspace a bit first, though since it looks like a war zone with "Test Area", "Test Area ABC", "Item 123", etc. š
I'm juggling a bit, but I'll see if I can build a video tomorrow explaining how a bunch of this works.
I haven't had a chance yet to build a video, but Derek will reach out and can either do a quick video or quick Zoom call to go over the new features.
