Ready to Test: Show Legend on All Pages, Updated PDF Engine, Import Improvements, etc.

We just deployed some updates to the Test Server. We are planning to release these over the weekend to the WWW server if no issues are found.

Legend

• Show Legend on All Pages — New "All" button on the Show Legend command adds (or re-shows) the legend on every page that has takeoffs, in one click.

• Default Legend Position — New setting under Settings → Takeoffs lets you choose where new legends are placed: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right.

Print Pages

• The Print Pages popup now mirrors the grouping you've set up in the Pages sidebar (folders, With Takeoffs, Plan Set, etc.), so what you print matches how you view your pages.

Dropdowns

• Fixed selecting an option from a dropdown when "Allow Custom Value" was turned on.

• When you open a custom-value dropdown, your existing text is now prefilled — you can tweak it instead of retyping from scratch.

Smart Select Improvements

• Smart-selected Area, Linear, and Count takeoffs now apply your default preset for that tool (properties, settings, tool mode) while still using the AI-detected name.

• Cloud, Highlight, and Note shapes created from the selection-box menu now also respect your default presets.

PlanSwift Import Improvements

• Imports now carry over PlanSwift's Description and Cost Each fields onto your items and templates.

PDF Engine

• Upgraded our PDF rendering engine for improved compatibility and rendering.

TIFF Compatibility Improvements

• More tolerant loading — files with invalid field types will now still open instead of failing.

Miscellaneous

• Assorted bug fixes and stability improvements.
