Reordering Pages

Overview

Reordering pages in zzTakeoff helps keep your plan sets organized and easy to navigate. You can quickly rearrange sheets to match drawing order, trade sequence, or your preferred workflow.

This is especially useful when uploading multiple plan sets, inserting revised sheets, or organizing drawings by discipline (Architectural, Structural, Electrical, etc.).

When to Reorder Pages

You may want to reorder pages when:

• Plans were uploaded in the wrong order
• New revisions were added
• Sheets need to follow construction sequence
• Organizing by trade or discipline
• Grouping similar drawings together

How to Reorder Pages

Step 1: Open Your Project

1. Go to your Workspace
2. Select the Project
3. Click on Pages to view all uploaded sheets

Step 2: Drag and Move Pages

1. Locate the page you want to move
2. Click and hold the page
3. Drag it to the desired position
4. Release the mouse to place it in the new order

The page order will update automatically.

Reordering Pages Inside Folders

If your project uses page folders:

1. Open the Page Folder
2. Drag pages within the folder to reorder them
3. You can also move pages between folders by dragging them

This helps keep each discipline or plan set properly organized.

Best Practices

Keep Drawing Order Consistent

Match the order of sheets with the official plan index.

Group by Trade

Organize pages by:

• Architectural
• Structural
• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Plumbing

Place Revisions Near Original Sheets

Keep revised sheets close to their original versions for easy comparison.

Use Folders for Large Projects

Folders make reordering faster and cleaner in large plan sets.

• Page names and numbers stay the same
• You can reorder pages anytime

Common Issues

Page Won’t Move

Make sure you are clicking and dragging the page card, not opening it.

Page Moves to Wrong Folder

Drag slowly and drop inside the correct folder.

Order Looks Incorrect

Refresh the page or reopen the project to see the updated order.
