HI,
I am a Planswift user for many years in the process of switching over. I am used to being able to for example, do a linear takeoff of a first floor page, lets call it "walls" and then right click "copy" the "walls" and then right click "paste" function into the same first floor page. Once this is done I end up with two linear line item functions "walls" that have the same linear foot values. It does not add the value into the previous "wall" takeoff. I can then rename one of the "walls" to be "wood base" and the other remains "walls". On the floor plan, this automatically pastes an overlay of the exact area and linear footage with the same color.
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks for the input Jeff. If we had ability to right click on a takeoff object such as the linear for "Walls", and had an option for "Duplicate As" and ability to create a new takeoff for "Wood Base" (auto generated random color so it's different), does that solve what you're after?
Hi Heber,
That would be perfect. You can have the color remain the same or the option to change. I typically leave it the same because with an overlay of two different colors it really does not differentiate.
Thanks,
Jeff
Sounds good 🙂🚀
We'll be sure to add this.
Awesome thanks!
