Move a segment vertically or horizontally

Currently, if you want to move a segment within an area takeoff you have to move the 2 points to adjust the area. So what i am asking is the ability to click on the middle of a segment so that those 2 points move at the same time. Sort of like the functionality like in trimble sketchup.
