OCR Function to Copy and Paste Text from Plans

I am an irrigation and landscape contractor. When I do a takeoff, I have to input about 20 tree, 15 different shrubs, etc. If there was a toool to be able to copy and paste that long plant specifies name from the plans and past it into my count tool name, that would be amazing. For now I am copy and pasting from adobe on dual screens. It works but not efficient as this would be.

Hi Brandon! We have an "Extract Schedule" feature that may do what you're after.

First you can draw a selection box above the schedule, and then you will see a little popup for "Extract Schedule". This will use AI to extract the data.

Then you will see a popup like this, and you can customize the names and change the takeoff types. Then when you click "Create" it will auto create them all in the Takeoffs on the right.

You can also do a different way, where you drag a selection box over specific text on the page, and then click the takeoff type:

Then this will use AI to extract the text and auto create a point count. Please give it a try and see if it does what you're after.
