"Pages" Drop Down Reset

I have tried this in Firefox and Chrome and gotten the same result, so I assume it is how things are supposed to work and I just haven't noticed it until now.

When I have the "Pages" toolbar collapsed to the left and use the drop-down, it restarts from the top/search bar regardless of what page I'm on rather than starting the list with the current active page.Is there a way to do this that I'm missing, or is this something that I should add to feature requests?
